Team Lamhe in association with Neu Salonz took an extraordinary initiative to bring together the bloggers of Delhi and some brands at Ardour Lounge, Connaught Place.There were around 17 brands and 30 fashion and lifestyle bloggers under the same roof. The event was very interactive as this event was a great opportunity for bloggers to gain some valuable insights. Here are a few highlights about the brands present at the event.
Adaah by Ankita Narula – Adaah is a fashion jewellery brand that represents the richness of Indian heritage and western culture. their jewellery is metal plated with gold and silver and studded with stones with a fusion of Kundan, Polki and Pearls. Not only do they sell jewellery but also jewel studded hair accessories to match every outfit for any occasion.
Ministry of Design – This brand reflects freedom, elegance and dignity of a woman. It streamlined minimal style with the classic Indian wedding ensemble. Each outfit is made to dress the 21st century bride, who is traditional, and yet unafraid to experiment and try new things.
Perch – It is an initiative by Akriti Kochar. An intention to make good quality, fashionable sleepwear easily available and affordable. Perch aims for women to look and feel great while being comfortable and relaxed. Perch also extends immense importance on ecological business practices and social responsibility.
Quirky Byte – an online magazine for the writers who want to write but weren’t able to get a kick start for their words to be presented to the world.
Nandeeta’s – is a design oriented firm that specialises in producing exclusive hand embroidered and embellished dresses, bags, belts, scarves and accessories. They have designed and manufactured for international labels such as Armani Exchange, DKNY, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Next, Antk Batik and many more. Known for its finishing and excellent quality, Nandeetas has brought the glamour to its home ground in Delhi.
Daisy Behl – with 25 years of experience is a brand that blends the Indian ethnic with contemporary chic to create garments that exhibit the rich Indian culture and history.
Jaipur Rugs – Reviving tradition in contemporary designs Jaipur Rugs Co. is India’s largest manufacturer of hand woven floor coverings. Based in the northwestern state of Rajasthan, the company works with village artisans throughout India and has a presence in over 45 countries. Jaipur’s story begins in a small town in Rajasthan with the company’s founder Nand Kishore Chaudhary, two looms and nine local weavers. A vast number of 40,000 artisans from 600 villages in six states across India produce quality handcrafted wool, wool silk, pure silk and contemporary carpets.
Secret Dresser – is a new online startup business project which offers everything from the premium Indian designer wear like Sabyasachi, Anjalee Arjun Kapoor to watches, bags, shoes, jackets by international designers like Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Karen Millen, Ted Baker. The portal is cent percent buyer protected and lists only authenticated goods.
Birdwalk – draws inspiration form the free spirited zeitgeists of the 1920s to 1960s America and Europe, Amrapali crafts dresses that embody the earnest beauty and fairytale like charm of those heydays. Working with a monochrome palette to create minimalist, hand embroidered and hand painted designs, they emphasize fabric manipulation and the use of sustainable yet lush materials.
Hathi – it appeals to the free spirit in every woman. The designs are deliberately simple with playful cuts and silhouettes guaranteed to add a punch to your wardrobe and a spring in your step. All their prints are hand drawn sketches of the leading star casts of elaborate stories.
Rekinza – is an online service for women to buy and sell preowned fashion. From Zara to Burberry, they have got every woman’s dream wardrobe on a year long sale. Their core belief is that the cycle of reusing from each other is not limited to buying and selling, it extends to providing clothes to those in need.
Studio Tishya – is an endeavour to capture the radiance of varied Indian crafts, and to bring them to life in your home and garments. Their design sensibilities are classic and eternal, with a focus on block prints, intricate embroideries and traditional textiles.
Mod Squad– is about chrome polish, presenting the sharpest, shiniest you. The look is a mix of both glamorous and metropolitan. So walk into their store to get your hands on the perfect pair.
Kamaali Couture – is the brain child of sisters Kamali and Shruti. They began with western and Indian lines and narrowed their vocabulary to cocktail couture. Working with fabrics like chiffon, georgette and lycra Kamali continues with feminine drapes.
Krasns Couture – Backed by a dream and led by a vision, they are constantly making an effort to tailor the best evening dresses, shirts, tops, jumpsuits, trousers and cocktail gowns. Their intention is to create glamorous ensembles with bright and modern colours, textures, embroideries and craftmanship.
