My Stay at Novotel Vijayawada Varun

I was completely oblivious to the fact that there is so much to do in Vijaywada until I went there. Novotel Vijaywada Varun is a brand new Accor property down south which is situated in the heart of Vijayawada city, just 25 minute drive from the airport. It is very close to the Amravati Capital region.

The first thing you’ll notice when you enter Novotel Vijaywada Varun is the large lobby around which all the rooms are built. The large lobby includes the reception area, dining area and the bar area. The hotel offers 194 rooms, 25 apartments and 12 suits. All the rooms are well equipped and contemporary.
The architecture of the property is something I really liked.

Novotel Varun provides 4 types of rooms-

1. Superior room with a city view and 2 single beds – The rooms are very spacious and has 2 single beds. The room is provided with all the facilities and modern amenities . There is a mini bar and mini refrigerator inside the room itself. You get wireless internet connection and the satellite Tv connection.
2. Superior room with a city view and King Size Bed- This room is 30m2 large and has a big size bed and room suitable for 2 persons to share the bed. The view from the room is beautiful. The room doesn’t have balcony.
3. Executive room with a city view and King Size Bed- The size of the room is 39m2 suitable for 4 people to live in one room. The room has all the essential facilities and modern amenities.
4. Executive room with a city view 2 Single beds- If you want to have 2 single beds but a big room, that is the executive room you can consider this option. It has all the same facilities as the executive room with a city view and King size bed but the only change is in the single beds.

Novotel Vijaywada Varun provides 3 meeting halls and a banquet hall for events. If you wish to relax and rejuvenate yourself and enjoy your own company, you can visit the Dew Spa and Salon and pamper yourself. I tried their spa service after a tiring day and highly recommend it. Another thing I love about Novotel properties are the jogging tracks. With a 215 meter jogging track you don’t even have to step out of the hotel if you fancy a run. Also, their infinity pool with the view of the city is quite a place to chill.

Now coming to everyones’s favourite topic, FOOD! The property has 3 restaurants Wugan, Food Exchange and Gourmet Bar. So you get to choose from a variety of cuisines that is Pan Asian, Local Andhra Food and Teppanyaki. When I am traveling I usually stick to the local cuisine and I am in love with the spicy Andhra food. Since I’m a choosy and picky person I was surprised at my love for the Andhra food. Also, I loved the Hoppers I had there. At th Gourmet Bar you will find interesting cocktails with twists you wouldn’t even imagine. They actually use Guntur Chilli for most of the cocktails and mocktails. You’ll get hooked for sure!

Like all other Novotel properties the staff is very courteous and friendly and always there to help. There are many places you can explore in and around Vijaywada like Kondapalli Fort, Kondapalli Toy Making Village, Kanak Durga Temple and other interesting things to do.
