COLOUR BLOCKING WITH STALKBUYLOVE

Hope you guys are having a great day, week or month. I have been really busy of late with exams, doctors, attending events and sorting out all the issues with my blog. This is the reason why its been really long since I came up with a new outfit post but now I have numerous posts lined up for you guys and I am so thrilled about it. This skirt was sent to me by Stalkbuylove a month back and everyday I would try and take sometime out for a photoshoot but something or the other would come up. Finally I am done with the shoot.

If you know me you would know I am not much of a skirt person but recently I have started experimenting and yes, I have started loving skirts. Lets talk about that stereotype which goes like “unless you are tall and slim maxi skirts won’t look good on you!” If you think like that, you really need to flush that thinking and introduce your closet to maxi skirts. I’ll tell you why they’re perfect for everyone. Its one of those outfits which create the illusion of an hourglass figure. I have worn this skirt with a black crop top, keeping it simple and minimalistic which is my style. The body hugging top and the skirt both narrow in at the waist and then the skirt flares out over the lower half, giving you that perfect hourglass figure.

I love this skirt because its comfortable and stylish at the same time. It has a button fastening front and it is also partially lined which makes it really convenient, you don’t need to wear those extra shorts beneath your skirt if you usually do. It is made of woven cotton linen which makes it really comfortable for the summers. Also, the slit which makes the outfit even more stylish and chic.

If you follow me on Snapchat you must have seen this Ted Baker bag I bought recently. I can’t get enough of it and thought of colour blocking for a bold, head turning look. At first when I thought of using a purple bag with my mustard yellow skirt, I thought it will be a bit over the top but it’s always good to experiment and hey it doesn’t look bad. Rather it creates a fashion statement.
